You may be eligible for a free home eye test.
Please see the following criteria requirements for our free home visit eye test.
If you find it difficult getting to the opticians due to a health condition or a physical/mental disability and you meet at least one of the following requirements, you will be eligible for a free home visit.
- Aged 60 or over
- Registered as partially sighted or blind
- Diagnosed with diabetes
- Diagnosed with glaucoma
- Advised by an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) that you’re at risk of glaucoma
- Aged 40 or over and your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter has been diagnosed with glaucoma
- You are receiving benefits that entitle you to NHS funding for eyecare
- You or your partner are receiving Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate
- In need of complex lenses
If you don’t meet the criteria for an NHS sight test then we can still visit you for an eye test as this would be carried out on a private basis. Please contact our customer care team for costing details.
